JOINT HEALTH
Joint health isn’t the first topic you’d expect your average skincare brand to discuss. But we don’t want to be an average skincare brand :) Beyond providing you with highly effective products that prioritize human and planetary health, we want to be a resource to our community - a place where we can learn and share information to better promote the health of the whole body.
So today, let’s talk joints. Not a glamorous topic, but your senior self with thank us ;) Joint mobility is the key to keeping a youthful, supple and healthy body. Practices like yoga and pilates promote joint mobilization through the emphasis of proper technique and alignment. The main joints to focus on are the shoulders, hips, spine, and knees. When we bring movement to these joints, we supply them with the fluid and nutrients they need to thrive.
Wherever you are, stop what you are doing and do 10 squats, arm and ankle circles, kneeling push-ups and a shoulder bridge. Doing these quick and easy exercises will provide you with a nice midday energy boost, help prevent future injury and even benefit your skin :) For more inspiration, check out Lia Bartha and Melissa Woodhealth: two awesome leaders in strength, alignment and mobility.
