ORDERS AND RETURNS

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diner’s Club, Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal. We also accept LINNÉ Gift Cards.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY

LINNÉ will gladly accept unopened returns on linnebotanicals.com orders within 14 days. This two week grace period begins when the product is delivered to your door. Opened products will be returned on a case by case basis depending on the reason for the return. 

To make the return, please send us an email at hello@linnebotanicals.com letting us know the reason for the return. Someone will reply confirming receipt of your request. Once received please securely wrap the package and send via FedEx, UPS or USPS. LINNÉ is not responsible for returned articles lost during transit. Be sure to include your complete contact info with your return including your name, address, phone number, email address and order number.

Your return will be processed promptly upon its arrival. Processing time for returns is 10 days from the time the return is received. Business days are Monday – Friday, excluding major holidays. An email will be sent to confirm receipt and processing of your return. All returns will be refunded to the credit card that was used to process the order. Sorry, shipping and handling fees are not refundable.

International customers please be aware that returns of products in their original condition are accepted by LINNÉ, however we are unable to refund the original shipping fee. International shipments which are rejected by the receiver upon entry will result in the customer incurring a redirection fee, equal or greater to the original shipping fee. We will do our best to modify an existing order if you contact customer care here, but we offer no guarantee that your order will be canceled or modified. WHAT ARE THE COURIER OPTIONS, SHIP TIMES AND FEES?

We ship within 24 hours of order receipt and offer free domestic shipping for orders over $75 with USPS First Class Mail. With this service shipments deliver within 3-5 business days, but longer delays should be expected around the holidays. We also offer the option to upgrade to Rush and Expediated shipping. International orders ship within 1-10 days worldwide. International shipping is free for orders over $250 in value.

WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING MATERIALS?

We ship using standard recyclable unbleached cardboard boxes and paper. Nothing fancy; we focus our resources on what's inside, and packaging it to arrive safely.

DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE US?

We do and it’s free with any order over $250 in value. We ship with DHL, which is incredibly quick and reliable. Please be aware that your country may be subject to additional taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. LINNÉ is under no responsibility to accept a return, nor issue a refund, where the customer has declined to pay these fees.

Shipments which are rejected by the receiver may result in the customer incurring a redirection fee. If the package is returned to LINNÉ, the customer forfeits the original shipping cost.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

We can only process and ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please allow up to 2 business days for your order to ship. Shipping speeds with depend on your location and courier choice.

WILL I BE CHARGED TAX ON MY ORDER?

We are required by law to collect state sales tax on orders being shipped to New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Charleston. Sales tax will be assessed on the total purchase, excluding shipping. The percent of sales tax charged is based upon the state where your order is being shipped. All applicable state and local sales taxes will be calculated during the checkout process.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS

ARE LINNÉ PRODUCTS RECYCLABLE?

Our veggie-ink printed boxes are made from recycled and forest stewardship council certified paper and can easily be recycled or composted. 

ACTIVATE, CLEANSE and PURIFY are offered in bio-resin tubes made from sugarcane. To prepare your empties for recycling, cut partway into the tube and wipe or rinse out any remaining product. Replace the cap and drop it into your curbside recycling bin.

The remaining collection is available in clear glass, which, unlike black or colored glass, is widely accepted by recycling municipalities worldwide. Aside from its recyclability, we chose clear bottles to allow our customer to enjoy the natural colors of the products themselves, clearly determine product fill, and to further communicate our commitment to brand transparency. To prepare your empties for recycling, remove the pump and discard into the trash or find a Terracycle drop off. Unfortunately pumps and small caps are just too small to be recycled. Rinse out any remaining product from the bottle and drop into your curbside recycling bin.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CRUELTY FREE?

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN AND ORGANIC?

All LINNÉ products are vegan except for our balm products that use beeswax as a superior natural plasticizer and occlusive. We use only responsibly sourced, certified organic beeswax from the USA. 

We primarily use organic and sustainably wild-harvested ingredients and have a particular affinity for native plants given their adapted defense mechanisms that protect themselves from their harsh environments. Furthermore at LINNÉ we promote the use of plants grown in their original habitat/geographical distribution and our ingredient choices aim to support species diversity, environmental preservation and ethnobotanical continuity. Some ingredients are not available organic, but may be ECOCERT or COSMOS certified. We always order from reputable suppliers and every ingredient is GMO-free and contaminant-free. ARE YOUR PRODUCTS ALLERGEN-FREE?

LINNÉ products are formulated to be hardworking but gentle and will help fortify your skin’s barrier function to reduce sensitivity. 

We use essential oils of exceptional purity and quality, in fact, some like chamomile and immortelle are anti-allergen.

Our formulas exclude petrochemicals, silicones, parabens, phalates, artificial fragrance, PEG products, T.E.A., D.E.A., B.H.A., imidazolidinyl urea, Quaternium-15, DMDM hydantoin, phenoxyethanol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, synthetic colors, hydroquinone, formaldehyde, lauryl sulphate, triclosan, boric acid and lead. 

Nevertheless, because we use a diverse range of ingredients there is potential for an allergic response. Please note that BALANCE contains organic hazelnut oil, REPAIR contains organic argan nut and sacha inchi seed oils, and RENEW and REVIVE contain non-GMO soy.

ARE THE PRODUCTS FRAGRANCE-FREE?

None of the LINNÉ products contain arbitrary scent additives aka synthetic compounds that are often irritating and even carcinogenic. Because our ingredients are minimally processed they often have their own intrinsic scent. This naturally occurring aroma is usually indicative of a unique function of survival. Often these scent profiles can tell us about the ethno-botanical use of the plant, whether it be, for example, antibacterial, calming or moisturizing.

At LINNÉ we have put a great deal of consideration into the selection of our ingredients so that not only do their functions harmonize but so too do their fragrance. The high volatility of essential oils means that the products will smell potent the moment they are pumped from the bottle but should soon dissipate on the skin, leaving only a whisper of essence.

WHAT IS A RECOMMENDED ROUTINE?

We established a roman numeral classification system to help users easily understand the application order of our products. To differentiate among products within the category we have given each a letter (a, b, c, etc.). 

All cleansers, whether they are for the body or face, are step I. 

All masks are step II and are recommended for use once or twice a week.

All toners are step III and can be used throughout the day to refresh skin and are recommended before application of serums and oils to enhance their absorption.

All serums are step IV. We highly recommend following serums with face oil, or you can mix the two together and apply at once.

All oils are in Step V. You may decide to alternate between our three oils offered depending on your shifting needs and we support whatever works for you.

Step VI include our balms for face, body and lips. These contain occlusive beeswax that forms a breathable seal against moisture loss. 

We encourage you to enjoy an extra moment to gently massage all our products into your skin to increase penetration and enhance circulation.

WHAT ARE FACE SERUMS?

In order to cut out many of the pore-clogging emulsifiers, fillers and texturizing agents that are often required to make a conventional cream, we have separated our moisturizers by their content of hydrophilic (water soluble) and hydrophobic (oil soluble) ingredients. Our concentrated hydrophilic serum has been formulated with superior quality botanical extracts selected to penetrate the skin deeply while allowing it to freely eliminate toxins and breathe. 

This separation additionally has allowed us to create a 'building block system' for a more responsive, customizable skin care experience. 

The skin needs both hydration and fatty acid emollience for optimal health and appearance.We thus recommend that all serums (IV) be coupled with face oils (V).

WHAT ARE FACE OILS?

We have carefully selected 100% pure all natural nutrient dense oils, made from minimally processed seeds, nuts, fruits and steam-distilled essential oil. Our synergistic blends contain ingredients known to protect the skin, deeply moisturize, improve the clarity of the complexion, enhance elasticity, fight free radicals and oxidative damage, even skin tone, encourage cellular turnover, repair scar tissue and decrease inflammation.  They contain gentle yet active biocompatible ingredients and nothing else.  

Previous to trying a face oil, many people are shocked to discover that the right oils, such as jojoba, hazelnut and shiso, can actually benefit a greasy complexion by bringing sebum production into balance. The addition of anti-septic, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory essential oils further aid in the treatment and prevention of pimples and blackheads. Many of our essential oils also contain regenerative properties and thus are beneficial in the healing of scar tissue associated with acne.

Currently we offer three oil blends to target varying needs thus allowing for a customized regimen that will support the changes in skin due to shift in diet, stress, hormones, quality and duration of sleep, and exposure to environmental stress. 

The skin needs both hydration and fatty acid emollience for optimal health and appearance. We thus recommend that all face oils (V) be coupled with serums (IV).

WHY IS THERE A BEST BY DATE?

At LINNÉ we resonate with the edict made by Hippocrates, ‘let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food’. This axiom guides all aspects of this brand and is instrumental in the sourcing and formulation of topical products. The topical skincare products are meant to serve as food for the skin. They are made with the highest quality ingredients that have been processed only in ways to retain their vitality but perhaps not their longevity. We do use a collection of natural, safe and food-grade preservatives to prevent microbial contamination but nevertheless to encourage use of the product at its freshest and most potent we feature a recommended use by date. This is unusual in the skincare industry, but perhaps as we shift our thinking and consider our skincare products to be more like food, we will prefer fresh products with a ‘best buy date’ to those that can sit on a shelf lifeless, forever. Like other artisanal culinary products we so enjoy, LINNÉ products are made in small batches in accordance with demand so that they remain fresh and active.

WHY ARE ANTIOXIDANTS SO IMPORTANT TO HEALTHY SKIN?

The outer layer of skin, the stratum corneum, due to its critical location at the interface between the body and the environment, is continuously exposed to oxidants that cause cellular damage, including UV radiation, chemical oxidants, air pollutants, and microorganisms. To add insult, the majority of skincare products available contain extremely harmful toxins that can cause allergies, neurological disorders, cancer, reproductive issues and other health concerns. The human body is able to produce its own collection of antioxidant enzymes to counteract some of these free radicals, but these become depleted by environmental stress and age; thus prevention strategies are essential. Feeding the body with supplemental natural antioxidants via topically applied products, and internally from food and supplements will combat disease, cancer, and the signs of aging. This comprehensive collection of skin products are designed to provide the body with the nutrition needed to do just that.

Our products have been Sorette Approved, meaning they've undergone a vetting process backed by their team of experts to meet Sorette's strict standards for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

As pregnancy affects everyone differently and everyone's medical history is unique, we advise checking with your doctor before beginning the use of any products if pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant, or should you have any concerns.
