WHAT DOES A HEALTHY SKIN PH MEAN?

To keep skin healthy, hydrated and protected from environmental aggressors it's important to maintain a healthy skin pH. But what does that mean?The pH scale ranges from 1-14. The lower numbers are acidic and the higher numbers are alkaline. The pH of human skin is 5.4 -5.9, making it slightly acidic. An acidic pH keeps moisture in and makes the skin a hostile environment for potential pathogens, free radicals and harmful toxins.
