PETITGRAIN SUR FLEURS

We use petitgrain essential oil (a distillation of bitter orange flower, leaves and small twigs) in our REPAIR and BALANCE face oils for its antibacterial, antifungal, cicatrisant, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is an effective skin toning agent and topical treatment for acne and oily or irritated skin. These qualities also allow it to stimulate the healing process of cuts, rashes, and other skin abrasions and result in a quicker recovery. 🌱Of added benefit, petitgrain essential oil contains linalyl acetate, a compound that is celebrated for its ability to reduce anxiety, calm the mind, and provide a stabilizing and balancing effect on the nervous system. When used in aromatherapy, petitgrain is thought to have sedative and antidepressant qualities, and may...

CLEAR SKIN STUDY

Identical twins with identical habits engaged in a test of LINNÉ product performance. For six months they made the same lifestyle choices, except the twin on the right used our PURIFY, SCRUB, RENEW and BALANCE on her skin daily. Needless to say she experienced remarkable improvement in her skin’s clarity, tone, texture and comfort. And since this photo was taken, her skin health has only continued to improve. Six months allowed us significant time to conduct this controlled study, but we've also done far quicker studies using our Clarifying kit and have seen results within a week. We love seeing our products work their magic and invite you to share your images and stories with us!

PALO SANTO

We’ve infused palo santo into our ACTIVATE to further enhance your cleansing ritual. Burning dried wood from the ‘mystical’ palo santo tree and collecting its concentrated oils have been widely used in folk medicines and by shamans for centuries due to the tree’s perceived ability to clear negative energy and induce a meditative state. Did you know that Palo santo is also known to fight cold and flu related infections and viruses? It may also help reduce feelings of dizziness, congestion, and nausea. It has the potential to increase blood flow and reduce inflammation, which have made it valuable in the treatment of migraines and reduce arthritic pain. It is also known to reduce stress. Our Palo santo is ethically...

EDIBLE FLOWERS

"To eat a lotus" is a phrase used metaphorically by numerous ancient writers to mean “to forget,” or “to be unmindful" and is in reference to the tribe of Lotus-Eaters in Homer's Odyssey. Our practices rather represent the opposite of apathy: we eat and anoint our bodies with flowers and plants precisely because we are mindful.  Here our founder is munching on a spicy nasturtium flower. They are great in salads and straight from the farm stand ;) Are you a flower eater? Some favorites include fennel, pea, runner bean, chive, nasturtium, and cilantro! Flowers add not only visual appeal but nutritional benefits through the powerful volatile compounds found in these lovely petals.

ARGAN NUT OIL

Yep, those are goats grazing in a tree. An Argan tree in fact. Regardless of its rough, thorny bark and gangly, crooked branches, the Argania spinosa tree attracts these animals with its tasty fruits. And we can relate! We love the cold-pressed seed oil and use it in our REPAIR face oil. Argan oil contains high quantities of vitamin A and vitamin E, and it is also a rich source of antioxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, and linoleic acid, which allow it to ease inflammation, deeply moisturize the skin, combat damage from harmful free radicals that causes premature aging, restore the skin’s elasticity, soften its texture, and boost cell production and regeneration to promote healthy skin. It can also be healing to...
